Cracked Teeth

Cracked Teeth
If you have cracked teeth, there are options available to you. Here at Montgomery Family Dental our dentists, Dr. Seth Huiras or Dr. Mark Brahs, offer a variety of different dental services including bonding and dental crowns. You no longer have to walk around ashamed of your smile when you can come into our Montgomery, MN dental office and get help with your teeth.

Two Dental Options for Cracked Teeth
Because there is a risk of a crack in your tooth getting larger causing a piece of the tooth to break off or an infection around your gum line, it is important to get treatment for cracked teeth. You have options for fixing cracked teeth, including bonding and dental crowns.

Bonding
Bonding uses a composite resin to put on your affected teeth or tooth. Either Dr. Seth Huiras or Dr. Mark Brahs molds and sculpts it over a type of adhesive gel, which they place over your tooth. Once they apply the resin, they use an ultraviolet light to make the resin hard and then polish it providing you with a brand new smile. Bonding typically can last for more than 10 years, if you oral hygiene is good.

Dental Crowns
Crowns are another option for cracked teeth and are usually made from a strong porcelain material called Zirconia. Dr. Huiras or Dr. Brahs work with their dental laboratory to match your crown to the shade of your teeth to give you a natural look and allow it to blend in with your other teeth. Crowns usually last for 15 or more years, depending on your oral hygiene.

Give us a call at 507-364-8001 to see either of our two Montgomery dentists to have a complete exam done and see if bonding or crowns are the right options for you to repair any cracked teeth that you may have.
